Dr Tanya Mead.
Dr Tanya Mead is registered with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and is a general adult psychiatrist.
She is passionate about helping people embrace and enhance meaning in their lives. She works predominantly in private practice, with a focus on empowering individuals as collaborators on their personal journeys.
Dr Mead has an integrative approach to psychiatry, and aims to optimise wellness by addressing the needs of the body, mind, and spirit, whilst alleviating suffering. She appreciates the uniqueness of each person, their connection to others, and the natural world around them.
As well as being a psychiatrist, Dr Mead is a wife, and mother to 3 adult sons. Her family keep her grounded, provide ample opportunity for fun and laughter, and inspire her on a daily basis.
Dr Mead graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, and completed General Practice exams in the UK. She completed her Psychiatry training in Auckland, and is an honorary lecturer at the University of Auckland. She is currently finishing a Certificate in Integrated Psychiatry through the Integrated Psychiatry Institute in Colorado, USA.
Outside of her clinical practice, she enjoys walking her dogs, going to the beach, cross country skiing, and furthering her inner exploration through meditation, tai chi based practices, and yoga.

to waitlist patients. Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card (Visa, Mastercard), debit card, or contactless payments
(Apple Pay, Google Pay). If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice or missed
appointments will be charged the full fee.
